Week Three

Well, OK. Being outside the crate with my head on a pillow isn't too bad afterall.

Week Two

All right. Maybe I just lay here outside the crate door for a while.

Week One

It's my crate and I'm stickin' to it!

Miguel has been here three weeks and what a joy it's been to foster him. In the beginning he was somewhat shy, insecure and not quite sure of what was happening so he preferred his crate and the small space it provided. I left the door open for him to come and go and after a week he decided the comforter just outside the door was all right so he was back and forth, in and out. I let him choose his time and what excitement for me when one day this past week he decided maybe the doggie beds were just as secure and the crate. One day he just got up, sauntered out into the livingroom and laid down! A couple of days later worked himself into out potty routine and now he's even coming down into the den for ear scratches.

We're working on counter serfing although he hasn't bothered any food on them, he just likes to sniff. He likes to sniff everything! He also is a collector and loves to pile up his stash in the crate. He loves Drew, 19 month old grandbaby and is great with him. He is very young, barely over two and a half and still has a lot of puppy qualities which for the most part are fun to watch and live with. However, his only vice is he still likes to chew so watch out! He likes small plastic things like spoons, the squeeky devices inside toys and his favorite has been Drews paci's. He also likes soft things like toilet paper. It hasn't really been a problem though, I just monitor him and try to keep these things out of his reach, his safety the number one priority!

This beautiful boy won't last long so be sure to check him out! He's got a wonderful, sweet personality and will do fine as an only pet or with others. He's very interested in dogs that aren't greys but I think that is only curiosity and that he would be fine with medium to larger dogs.

I'll post pictures as soon as I can. Right now I can't seem to get photo's to post so stay tuned!
I forgot to add, he's also a roacher! Oh my goodness what a thrill to see this big boy roaching!
